Fall Festival Brings the Best to Alief
We were out at the International Management District's Fall Festival last Saturday. The weather was perfect for the event and the community responded with a great turnout! Attendees enjoyed a Farmer's Market with vegetables and even arts & crafts and candles, games, costume contest, moonwalks, and snocones.
Although we saw some familiar faces and met with some of our community partners, we also met other members of the community. We had some interest in our Empower Houston Leaders (EHL) classes and talked with the festival goers about the Alief Multi-Service Center We even had people fill out surveys about what they would like in the new Alief Multi-Service Center. The feedback we receive is going make the center into exactly what the community wants. If you listen and give the community want they want, you will engage and they will be empowered.
